Hey all, my dad had a remote start put in the truck back in 03 and I want to remove the entire unit. I know I can just not use it but I want it gone. It won't let me search the forum right now.. iPod touch. Also have another question about the filler panel on the trunk (driver side) which looks like a speaker.. What is that about? I will look tomorrow in the forums but wanted to put the question out there. Thanks. If I wasn't clear let me know.

Not sure about removing the remote start but to my understanding the panel in the back that looks like a speaker is where some models had the factory sub housed. Looks like they just used the same panel for all trucks and it was sort of plugged (at least on mine) on models that doesn't have it back there.

I had the remote start removed by SamSound in West Caldwell for anyone who lives in the area. 90 dollars. A lot more wires and stuff than I thought it would be.
