I have no issues whatsoever.. they actually are a little taller than the factory vents and there is space for ventilation on the top. I can take closer pictures for you over the weekend if you would like.

I like the smooth ones, they look cleaner... the line of the Escy ones looks kinda out of place on the more rounded Tahoe image. And since they dont totally seal all the way around to the body they will have more than enough flow to vent.

Thinking about having the rear vents painted to match the truck, just like a lot of you have done here. I think it looks great.

Once again I searched the site for a detailed description as to HOW to remove these rear vents in order to have them painted. I know I saw it before and I can not come up with this description anymore.

Can anyone help, as I want to remove them so I can have a body shop paint them for me.

Many thanks in advance.

The smooth ones from www.stylintrucks.com are only $150.

Looks more like $170.99 plus shipping and handling 21.99 = $192.98

The vent caps are not sealed. Even if you have the smooth ones, the cabin can vent out- all around the caps and down through the tail light cavity(you'll see when you take the caps off). I think the smooth ones are kinda boring. The esky ones are cool but the stock ones painted are not bad. Check mine out, did them myself with rattle cans-

My fault! I was on my way out the door when I did that.

If you want to try smooth ones, get a factory set from a salvage yard, and get some fiberglass or bondo and play around. Better than spending $200 and you can always go back to your old ones if you like.
