I have a Chevy Tahoe with third row seating, and im trying to remove th third row seating completey (temporarily of course) Ive tried playing withthe levers and releasing mechanisms behind the third row seating, and managed to unlatch on side of one of the seats, but absolutly cannot undo the other side or the remaining seat. could someone please walk me through the process and explain what I might be doing wrong at all, or if removing the third row is even possible.
In addition, Ive noticed when using the cruise control in lower speed areas (30 mph or slower) my tahoe doesnt always enable cruise control, while my other truck (GMC Sierra '09) is capable of cruise control at virtually any speed, though it isnt a big issue, im wondering if anyone else has noticed this with the tahoe/yukon in comparrison to any other car.

just grab the handle at the back of the seat and give it a good jerk...unless yours is stuck somehow it should work

a lot of vehicles will not engage cruise below 30 or 35...just my experience

The third row seats come off by pulling the levers and they should slide right off their hinges ... careful though, those bastards weigh a ton.

I'm pretty sure I can set my cc below 30mph ... although at very low speeds the 'resume' feature doesn't work so I have to 'set' it again.

I have set my CC < 30mph before. Also... i've had my third row seats kind of get 'stuck', mainly the right one. you basically pull the level and it slides right out. Real easy. The stuck one just took an extra 'pull' to get it out.

there's really no safe reason to set the cruise control below 30...read the owners manual it usually tells you how low you can set it AND how to remove the seat. pretty neat little book.

low cruise can be very useful for country/rural use...like a driving down a dirt/pasture road and checking cattle, checking the fence line....and trust me this can be for hours on end, i used to do this in the old ranch truck

Thanks for the reply, everyone.

I've still found myself unable to remove the third row. How can i get it 'unstuck' if this is the case?

And i personally don't have a big need to set my CC under 30, but its nice so i don't have to keep checking my speed in the suburbs i live in where cops pull you over for going 1 mph over....

I assume your Tahoe is a 2007-11 vehicle, right?

If so, then check the front of the seat where it hooks into the vehicle. On mine there is a "over the top" latch that keeps the seat in place that sometimes doesn't release. You may have to try to move it with a screw-driver. (Kind of tough to describe..)

Cruise control kicks in at 25 mph, now as far as the third row. I'm with everybody, give it a good pull. The thing that looks like a handle, you need to pull towards you , just remember when you do that, the whole seat will go towards you. Hope it helps
