I want to do something different with my interior trim pieces. I don't like the way the truck has wood and grey trim pieces, wish it was all wood. Anyway does anyone know how hard it would be to remove all the trim pieces. I'm talking about all the pieces from the steering wheel trim, dash along with the ac vents, and the door trim. I know the pieces have tabs that hold them in place, so does anyone know where the tabs are on each piece. Thanks for the help.

put a piece of electrical tape around the head of the screwdriver if you continue to use a screwdriver. They do make pullers for these dash parts... any auto parts store carries them. It is basically a flat bar with a V on the end of it. they only really help if you know where all your tabs are though...

I'm in the process of doing this and have some questions...

First, i tried the pieces on the door by the window switches first... and the whole unit popped up? is this supposed to happen lol, how do i separate the wood part from the window module

For the trim pieces across the dash, do you have to remove the vents with it? or are they separate parts? I got started but got too nervous I was going to crack something

go to the dealership (partsman) ask for a print out of your dash, it show you your dash, air vents, clips, screws, ect. take it home and used it as a guild. Note: i also had him give me printouts for steering wheel, door pannels, front grill an headlights . most partman's will give you more help, than a saleman's.
