(Sorry to bump this old thread. I couldn't find anything recent. )

Hating the chrome strip on the doors of my '19 and definitely thinking of pulling it off. Good to know there's nothing underneath, that makes me less scared... but still a little scared.

I have an appointment on Thursday to get the windows tinted. I might ask if they would wrap the chrome around the windows. Anyone who has done that - how does it hold up?

Do it yourself, it’s really easy. I used a hairdryer and a 3M eraser wheel (would have really sucked without this) for the leftover glue. Really nothing to it.
