Remove Running Board?

my philosophy is 2WD running boards on 4WD running boards off

Not only do the running boards cover up the frame and make it look cleaner. It gives it a lower appearance from all the way around the truck. Like @NathanJax said it just makes it look like its missing something.

I took mine off. I never liked them. I like it just fine the way it is. It looked pretty bad before I lowered it, but to me it looks a lot better now.
