I have bad leaky shocks with a pump that is also bad on my 03' Denali. From the searching i have done, it looks like i can remove the pump and shocks and disconnect the fuse and all will be good. Supposedly, my truck was lowered 2" by one of the previous owners. I will measure some stock yukons and compare heights to make sure. I guess what i need to know is (1). Can i just go buy stock size shocks at the local parts store (bilstiens/monroes/whatever), or do they have to be a special spring like the strutmaster coil over shocks? (2). Do they have to be a special shock height since it may have a lowering kit? (3). Is it okay to retain the stock coil springs or do i have to buy all new springs as well? Thanks for any help you can give, Bret

They say the springs on autoride trucks are softer, but if your truck has 2" lowering springs in the rear then you don't need to replace them. Add a set of Belltech or Bilstein shocks all around and you're good to go.
