so one of these days i am going to start working on my bumpers is it really as hard as everyone says to remove the bumpers ? i have a 2003 tahoe.. i tried searching this forum but couldn't find exactly what i was looking for... i want to paint the front and back bumpers to color match to my tahoe, i already painted the grille, rear vents, and mirrors.. can i just paint the valence and the chrome after stripping it of course and the bottom valence where the fogs are or do i have to remove the plastic valence pieces ? much help would be appreciated thanks!

Make sure you use the proper bolts... Grade 8 or better, and do not use stainless steel.
