Well, another lesson tonight. Picked up a newer roof rack. The chrome is in excellent condition which is what I was hoping for. Makes me happy. But as I learned the new racks are off an NNBS esky esv apparently, and the way the gaskets are designed on these differ from the gaskets on my NBS racks that are currently on my Denali. So that means I can't just swap my already color matched end caps from my current racks to the new ones because the way they mount onto the gasket is totally different than those on the NNBS racks. Ooi. No such thing as easy for me when it comes to mods. Lol. At least I have all the proper mounting hardware for both sets, including those pesky little anchor bolts for the middle slots so I don't have to hunt any of that down. But now I gotta spend extra on painting another set of end caps. Will Post up those when I have everything painted and swapped.

^^ lol

Yes most people forget those middle mounting posts. They make a difference in how that rack sits even on the short bodies too. Good luck on getting everything put together.

Get some spray duplicolor, and color match it that way. Make sure you prep it pretty good and spray clear on it.

I sprayed my end caps with rattle can and clear coat from automotivetouchup.com

All my paint has come from there.

I got my Tahoe Esky rack from Young28 so the end caps were orange. They have held up well considering I have taken the caps off a few times.

I also painted my Esky appliqués and front bumper cap initially, but sent them to the shop when the rest got color matched.

How did those pieces look when you color matched them yourself?

Yeah I'm just not good with paint. Never have been. On something like my end caps I'd rather just have the body shop do them and have them done right the first time. Haha. Plus I don't have any enclosed space to do bigger projects with paint. I have no garage unfortunately. I am gonna pick up some paint from the site you mentioned @Fosscore , to try and do some pretty small stuff first. Gonna do my spare tire lock cover and my onstar shark fin to see how it goes. Then go from there. But for now the end caps got dropped off at the body shop today lol.

Those small parts are perfect for the rattle can. Do them on the truck of course and you will be happy.

I did the tire lock cover and my license plate lights on the NBS (I think your little lights are already CM'd.)

I did the NNBS shark fin on on the truck. Makes such a difference.

Coming together on those little things. Nice work.
