7 whole degrees this morning. My serpentine belt was not happy starting up in the overflow parking lot outdoors lol. It was pretty loud and whiny. Not squeely like when it s going bad, just groaning lol. Truck hasn’t started up in that low of a temp, ever I think as long as I’ve owned it. It’s driven in that temps but it’s already been running. We had a couple mornings the last two weeks that were that low but I can start my truck in the garage that never drops below 40 and then back out and let him warm up and not have to worry about the low temps.

Worked a busy day Friday, and right before a quick high desert trip for a few errands, the e beak release cable decided to snap. Thankfully I’ve replaced the sort twice, the first time being when it snapped in the Nali a few years ago back when I lived with the Barney family. And the second time being a couple months later when her 2005 Escalade ESV did the same thing and I replaced hers in the driveway. 20 minutes in my garage and I was on the way down to the high desert with the release cable replaced. One bolt and re routing the cable correctly and snapping it in to place. Very simple job.

Getting hammered with snow in Big Bear. As of this morning the storm total was up to 57 inches. Wouldn't be surprised if we’ve gotten another 12 inches since this morning. Taught one whole hour of the teaching day at the resort. Spent a lot of time shoveling snow when we could have been using the snowblower to clear the people movers cuz I have one of those “you should be doing busy work when you’re not teaching and on the clock” kind of supervisors. Super annoying today but at our 2pm lesson time nothing was sold for lessons so I got to clock out and take some powder laps. Had fresh tracks in a canyon run even at 2pm. That’s how much snow we’re getting. It’s rare that’s e get this much all at once and we’re running out of places to put the snow lol.

Thankfully my second remote was in my backpack so I cleared snow and loaded everything in, while I waited for my mom to come grab me, and go home to grab my other key and then run back and grab the truck. Truck is back tucked in the garage out of the snow and ordered a new fob from boost auto. Will have to get another key made though Monday when the locksmith opens up.

Also managed to lose my new boost auto 2021 style key fob, ignition key, and grogu keychain from a pocket that I forgot doesn’t zip when I fell in the powder. Damn canyon ride claimed my truck key….. :banghead:

It'll be found when all the snow melts!

Im officially done with snow. We’ve had probably over 10 feet in the last 9 days. And it’s not letting up. Had the driveway in front of the garage totally clear and this is what I woke up to this morning. I have no room left to clear snow.

Took this video:

And then about a half hour later managed to get the Nali stuck for the first time in 8 years. Thankfully it wasn’t too bad and as I was digging it out a young kid rolled up in a little 2003 Subaru forester and another guy walking by helped, and through a little manual pushing and some clever driving on my part we freed the Nali and got him on the right track. Unfortunately the kids Subaru got stuck AND he locked his keys in it with it running. But we got him at least unlocked and he grabbed his stuff and shut it down.

Tankers haven’t been able to get up the mountain so all 7 fuel stations are out of fuel right now. A couple stations had 87 and diesel but with my BBP performance tune I can’t run 87 so I didn’t to risk it. Thankfully I filled up last week and have a solid half tank to get me threw the next few days. And tomorrow and Friday I’m not going anywhere to avoid getting stuck and wasting unnecessary fuel so that should help. But good god I’m done with snow. Lol
