I recently replaced my front pads/rotors with EBC Yellowstuff pads and EBC slotted/dimpled rotors for more robust stopping power. They work great but the dust is more that I want to contend with, I can't drive more than 60 miles without needing to clean the wheels. They are also a lot noisier than I had expected. Can I replace these pads with something aggressive but without the dust and noise? Ok to use the same rotors with new/different pads?

Thanks

yes you can, just look for a ceramic pad (i dont care for them), the condition of your rotor will dictate the need to resurface, but you should be OK if not rippled or glazed

Use PowerStop Z36, you will love them. Better braking and no dust. I use them on all my vehicles, I have tried everything. I use to have a repair shop and have done hundreds of brake jobs with every major manufacturer. I am a very sporty driver and don't baby any of my vehicles and I love these brakes. I put the complete rotor and pad set on my wife's Caddy because the factory pads kept making too much noise. She loves them, they give a confidence that your vehicle can stop as fast as you need it to. I put them on her Callaway Corvette and did a hard stop from 130+ and I could feel the blood rushing to my face. I've run Hawks, EBC, and PowerStop, and hands down I like the PowerStop the best. I just replaced the rears on my Denali with over 70k on them and I could have waited another 5k easily.
