I have 2022 Black Suburban Premier. Like most, I hate the chrome trim. I have received a couple quotes from shops that do wraps. The lowest I have been quoted in $1500 and that did not include the grille. Apparently the grill is " too intricate". So I got the bright idea of just replacing the chrome parts with factory black parts. The parts themselves ( not the grille) are only a couple hundred bucks. So I have a couple questions

1. Do most of these exterior parts just pop of ( clips, adhesives) or is there a lot more involved?
2. Any red flags in this method?
3. Don't me started on those wheel wells, thats a whole different headache. Those are 24's and there is still all that gap. Arghhh !!! lol

What all exterior chrome parts are you talking about?
Window trim?
Roof rails?
Sidestep trim?
Rear Tailgate trim?

What size tires are on your 24’s? They appear to have a very short sidewall = wheel gap.

Good luck with Factory Parts. Been waiting for a replacement grille for my wife's Z71 Suburban since June, 6 months ago. We hit a vulture on a road trip in May. Fortunately just punched a hole in grille and knocked off a few shutters.

We picked up our Pearl Tricoat Premier a month ago and we had the same thoughts. Have to black it out. Don’t like the chrome look. We also wanted to go the wrap route and got some of the same quotes you got. $1500+!!! So started doing research and figured I’d try and wrap what parts I could myself. Got all the supplies off Amazon and jumped right in. I’ve gotten the window trim pieces and mirrors done. They weren’t too bad. But I’ve tried the back emblem once and it didn’t work like I wanted. So I may go with plan B and plasti dip it. 4DE2F52E-EDE7-46B7-8096-D5BBEABBB6E7.jpeg
