Driver's seat is getting worn, and sags a little on the left side, where you swings your legs out and put pressure on getting out of the truck

Unfortunately, I rented a 2024 Tahoe last week, and I didn't notice my seat sagged until getting back in my 2017

Now it's obvious.

What do you all think about replace vs. Re-upholstering the seat?

Are these seats easy to find/mount or am I better off just having a shop re-upholster it?

Driver's seat is power and heated.

The Seat Shop has been used by many of us for replacement seat covers and foam cushions.

There are YouTube videos on the replacement process. It seems fairly straight forward if you take the seat out of the truck and are patient.

I took my drivers' seat out and did not disconnect battery....no problems. I also replaced the seat cushion with one from the shop mentioned above. It's kinda hard, but I like it.

Thanks for the correction on the battery. I took the seat out on my wife’s old BMW and had to reset the airbags bc I didn’t disconnect.

So the entire seat has to come out of the truck, or just the bottom part?

I had an auto upholstery repair shop do my driver's seat by adding a little foam and sewing up a tear in the fabric for not too much money.
