On my 07 Tahoe I was getting error code P0449 so I replaced the evap canister over a week ago. Now I am getting code P0446 which was not there before. During the install I did bend the tube from the canister that has the white clip on it try to route it but it popped back straight so I didn't think this was a problem. Could I have damaged this or is this something unrelated and another component I need to check?

Borrow a code reader and find out what P0446 and post back.

How hard was it to replace and by anychance you have the part numbers. I have the same error code P0449 on mine for last 5 months and really need to get around to replacing it.

I am getting CEL P0442 and after a lot of digging it looks like I need to replace my EVAP Canister as well. Looks like this is the part number we need to replace. P/N 20995472

I beleive the replacement part relocates the canister and usues exsisting bolt holes. Something like that. Lots of threads about this error code and possible fixes.

To the OP you might want to reset the code again and see if it pops back up after your latest fix.

Hope this helps.

You also have to order part 19257603. It was not hard to replace and it cleared my Po449 code but since replacing I have a P0446. I have cleared the P0446 and it comes back on after about 2 days.

For those replacing EVAP canisters, how do you fill the tank? Finish after the first shutoff or try to put in more afterwards?
