So I replaced the overhead console in my PPV with one out of a 2011 LTZ. Mine only had the dome lights and the LTZ one has the garage door openers and what looks to be a rear window hatch release. I tried several times today to program the garage door openers with no luck. and the hatch release does not do anything. But the hatch release on my key fob works.

are these things I am going to need to get programmed to the PPV for them to work?20190902_191200.jpg

Not sure about the garage door opener... my guess would be that it doesn't have power.

The button for the rear hatch is actually for the power assisted/electric tailgate... not the window release.

These trucks don't have a button up front to open the rear hatch glass... I always thought that was kinda dumb but that's the way it is.

Hmmmm...i wonder what power it could be missing? The lights next to the buttons come on when it try to do the programming. I will need to investigate further.

My garage door opener is too new to work with the ****** homelink system. They make an adapter you can buy. I think it’s around 60-70 bucks. Eff that, I just installed a momentary switch in the overhead console, and popped the opener in there. Works great. [emoji106]

Press the two outer buttons together for a few seconds and that clears out the old stored memory. Then press the green/purple/yellow learn button on your gdo... one quick press.... the light should come on next to the that button then within 5-10 seconds press and hold whichever homelink button you want until your gd moves then let go and press and let go same button once. Have to be 5-10 feet away from the gdo but i do in the garage through my sunroof so I don’t have to stand on anything to reach the gdo button... you can just stand on your running board
