I just replaced the steering idler arm and bracket. Now im noticing on the inside when you’re driving the steering wheel is making this squeaky kind of noise almost like the sound of a spring stretching. I’ve no idea how this could cause that and how it’s only when driving.

Any ideas?

Sound travels and may not actually be coming from where you think it is. Need a mechanic's stethoscope to pinpoint the exact location of the noise.

How about a video of the noise.

All I hear is outside noise. How about some video and audio showing what's moving when the noise happens?

Didn't see much but a black cat at night with its eyes closed.

Some years back there was a TSB on the Silverados about a plastic sleeve in the steering column in the dash that was making various noises, pretty common seems like. Might search around for this deal. What year is your machine?
