Replaced Z55 Air ride with KYB Gas adjust and Z-71 springs - ride is too high

If I wanted to maintain the original ride height and but also maintain the current ride quality, would a 2" lowering spring work? Would I have to put the shocks on lowering brackets? I guess I'm just not sure if something like this would drop it 2"below the stock height or if it would drop it 2" below where it sits today.
