Hey guys my driver's side running board stopped working for some reason. So I bought some more lights to replace them. Is it like plug and play or difficult?

Hi,
Sorry nobody responded to your question, including myself. I personally had the same issue. What I did was removed the caps on both ends of the running boards while extended. Then I removed the bolts from underneath the running boards. There is a “plate” essentially that slides out and you can opt to remove or just check the wiring. Myself, I decided to add an aftermarket “much brighter” led strip into the plastic housing. I then it to the factory wires already in place. Worked like a charm. No issues for over 6 months now.

How did you get inside the plastic housing to remove the broken LEDs and install the aftermarket ones? I removed the plate and the existing LED housing, but it seems the housing is a single unit with glued ends. I don’t want to break it.
