If all you want to do is replace the buttons, just pop them off with a small flat head. You don't even have to pull it from the dash. Be careful that you don't scratch your new buttons.

Not sure if anyone has posted this but ...

On eBay you can buy just the buttons for $30. I haven't tried but looks like a good idea.

perkins07 the items in the link are Decals you put on the buttons and not the actual buttons themselves
