Hi - it would be helpful to have a sticky covering the oil types and filter model numbers for short and long filters by brand. Also helpful would be to list socket sizes for the plug. Thanks -

I too find it a bit odd that I can't seem to find any stickies on common stuff. But I'm new here, maybe I'm missing them. Anyway, I have a 16 5.3 Tahoe. One of the easiest modern trucks when it comes to oil changes:

Filter: PF63 OR PF63e
Drain plug: 15 mil
Oil: 0 20 (I use Mobil1 full synthetic) 8qts

Don't forget to lube the 2 tie rod ends with every oil change. Just a plain grease gun (I use Lucas red grease)

Why is it that they have to be lubed every oil change? Is this just for Tahoe? I have a 2017 Yukon 2wd

I too have a 2wd, live in a salty winter area and asked here. Seems like people answered as they did back in the old days; every oil change lube the 2 points, one on left, one on the right. I suppose you don’t have to, but since I’m playing with oil anyway during my oil change, I might as well. Don’t really get why GM has to put these two lube fittings on their trucks, while most everything else is a sealed system.
