So I put some resistors on my new LED front blinkers to avoid hyper flashing....my question is do I need to mount it to metal, or can I just let them hang behind the headlight? I know they put off some heat but mounting it in such a limited space is a pain. Thoughts?

I didn't mount mine. There is a 10mm bolt just below the headlight that my ground is wired to but the resistor just sits in there and works just fine...

Cool....thanks for the replies. I left mine unmounted and so far so good....no issues.

This was my solution. Used outdoor double-sided tape and a piece of cork board and mounted it on that. No problems at all and out the way of other cables. I did the dual DRL/Turn signal mod.

Do you have a wiring diagram or could you tell me which wires you hooked up to the resistors? I am about to install switchbacks and can't figure out which ones.
