I've been searching through the forums for a couple of hours now looking for a thread or an answer to this question. I have an 04 Yukon that I just bought and it has the backup automatic curb view option on it.

Only thing is, when I put the truck into reverse, the mirrors actually go UP instead of pointing down at the CURB. lol. As of right now, they're sky view mirrors which of course doesn't help me AT ALL...:emotions122:
I read through the manual which was pretty painstaking, and it doesn't have anything on how to actually set this, only how to turn the feature for the passenger and driver mirror on and off.

Thanks!!

my guess would be, put it in reverse, set your mirrors for "curb view"

then when you move out of reverse, they should go back tot he normal position, and when you go back to reverse, it should remember your previous setting.

exactly. when you reverse and see the mirrors move up, move them down to the position you want, then put it back in park or drive. That should take care of it.

the button on the steering wheel that looks like a piece of paper is where you get to the option of turning this on/off. Keep pressing the button until you find the option. The manual tells you how to change the different driver options. There is all kinds of shit in there to change.

Also check your mirrors, adjust them with the button on the door and see if it moves the correct way (you push "down" it goes "down"), if it's backwards, maybe the connection in the mirror is backwards............<----------just a guess.

You guys are amazing. I never thought to put it in reverse AND THEN move the mirrors. The guy who owned it before me was like 6'7 so I couldn't see anything!! I'm definitely happy I joined this forum and will be recruiting other Tahoe/Yukon owners to as well.

Thanks again!!

I had the same problem and it took me a while to figure out as well. It's so easy I didn't even think of it. Put it in reverse and THEN adjust them, and voila...lol. Welcome to the world of Tahoes/Yukons....the world of of so much cool gadgetry that it is really, really annoying when something we never had or needed before doesn't work. ;)
