Okay, so my rear wiper switch gave up on life about 6 months ago. I currently have it rigged (read: carefully placed back together) in a fashion that allows me to turn it on and off. I have, however, ZERO washer functionality, and the thing will not park itself. It just stops in whatever position it's in when I turn off the switch. I want to replace the damned thing, but why the hell are they so freaking expensive?

I find deals like this all the time for the Blazer switch that looks incredibly similar (I know it won't fit, but is the switch for our Yukons/Hoes REALLY that much different?) Under $10 shipped:

However, when I start looking for the 95-99 switches, they skyrocket in price. I've seen them for as much as $90, but never any less than $50.

Can someone explain what it is about our switches that command such a premium? Better yet, does anyone have a way to find these things any cheaper? Somewhere in the non-astronomical range?

I would have jumped on this "bargain" had they not been sold out:

Sweet! Yeah, I have the trim piece. As long as the switch is intact with the washer button, I can make it work.

Thanks, I'll send you a PM now.
