Just lowered my Kon as previous posts say, not too sure about the ride quality. Did a Belltech rear and drop keys on the front. Thing rides like a tank.... What can I do to get. Any better

The drop keys will firm up the ride a bit. For the "softest" ride up front, def use spindles and factory keys. As far as the rear, I would recommend trimming the bumpstops to start. Which shocks are you using? With the decreased travel, it will never ride as softly as it did stock. Most who lower think the truck is too mushy anyway, so the added firmness is a pleasant change.

It's deff your drop keys that is giving you the rough ride up front. Spindles are 10 times smoother and deff cut off your rear bump stop mounts entirely and install some 3/4" bumpstops.

My truck, the ride is smooth as butter and I'm running 26" rims on 30 series tires and it rides amazing. It's taking a lot to get where it's at right now but it's nice. I love the ride on mine. I have Belltech spindles with untrimmed bumpstops up front. And DJM 5.5" rear drop springs, free travel mod, 3/4" bumpstops, air lift springs, Belltech shocks all around, Spohn adjustable 4-link bars and adjustable panhard bar. The rear took a lot of work. Had to replace lots of bolts in the rear with proper sizes to get rid of any slop I had and now that I've replaced bolts with all the right sizes it doesn't clunk at all anymore.

Yea i am getting spindles soon just ran out of money. Keys were my only choice and I had a buddy that had them laying around. I'm not goin to get too crazy with lowering it because I know later on I'm going to lift it. I go through phases with my rigs. My Jeep was the worst, spend way to much money on that thing. As for shocks I'm running Napa reflex shocks. Seem to be doing good just need to realize that I'm lowered now and can't go over bumps and railroad tracks at the same speeds I used to. So for now with the idea of doin the Belltech front spindles, what would be recommend. Dropping a vehicle is new to me so there is a learning curve and Alot I have left to learn

Did you trim your front jounce stops? When you lower with keys your A-arm gets closer to the jounce stops and when you use spindles the A-arm stays the same as stock. So when you use keys and/or A-arms to lower you need to cut the jounce stops back or there will be a greater constant force on them, hence the firm ride. I don't believe in the whole key theory of making a vehicle ride different. The torsion bar has the same torsion static and dynamically no matter what orientation. It's a cylinder so all torsion will be uniform.

Yea my front stops ate about halfway compressed. I'm not sure about doing the free travel mod in the back. What if I decide to go back to stock. Now I will have no rear stops

When did your tires "run" on you? :hands:

How's the ride with the drilled and shaved stops?
