Everyone eliminates them bc they look like ass lol. I honestly think the 6.2L stock is loud enough as well... which is why I didn't remove the resonator on my 6.2L and just put on a factory GM chrome tip bolted on to it:
On the other hand the 5.3L GMT900 vehicle's are really quite so doing the resonator delete actually makes it sound much better but still not as loud as a 6.2L stock.
I have to admit my truck is so loud at idle that a few people have asked "what is wrong, do you need a muffler"? Kind of embarassing.......
