When you mean 31" tire is it An actual 31x10.50R15?? Or 285/70/15?? Lol i know its a stupid qustion but a want to make sure the order is right

That should fit no problem without cranking the bars. That size is roughly equivalent to the 265/70/16 tires I had when I got my truck and they didn't rub at all with stock backspacing. You should be fine with the 4.5" BS with that tire size...I was rubbing pretty bad at first, but mine are 32.7"

Check my picture album out and you can see what that size will roughly look like. The picture is called "how I got her" or something like that...the one with the stock rims.

Now hurry up and order your rims and tires then post pics so we can see 'em ;)

Here is what I use to calculate tire sizes...

I'm happy with my Nitto Terra Grapplers so far, but I haven't had them very long. I wanted something that looked rugged, but was honest with myself when I chose the tires. I do about 85% driving on the street and honestly see mud and deep sand out in the country more often than most people around here that run boggers. They serve my purposes well and don't annoy the heck out of me driving on pavement like a really aggressive M/T would do.

Oh crap! I just saw that you're going to get a 10" wide rim dude. You better check the manufacturers website of the tires you want, most of those tires you're talking about getting shouldn't be put on a rim wider than 9" dude. Sorry for not spotting that earlier.

Yeah most of the tires that are 275 and up aren't going to work. Im gunna have to get tires starting in the 30's lol some 4 wheel center down here in el paso has a 96' silverado sitting on 44" boggers with a 15" rim lol

Only reason why i want 31's is cuz my friend has a 96' bronco with 33's and i need tires that'll be able to go through his ruts.

I'm just saying that you might be a little better off with an 8" wide rim to fit a larger variety of tires. Is there any particular reason you're going to the 15" instead of the 16? Are you looking to air way down and need the sidewall flex?

The 10" wide is going to stick like way out and you might run into more issues with rubbing. Most of the guys here are running an 8" rim....the 8" wide rim will bring your tires flush with the back openings. The front's will stick out about 2-3 inches past your front openings if you're not running flares. It looks good IMO.

If you were to say get a 16x8 soft 8...it's still going to look tough as hell, stick the fronts out a bit, flush the backs...AND...it will allow you to run stock size tires if you want. Check out my album pics....I can take some different profile shots if you want to see how much the 8" wide cragars will stick out.

Just my two cents. Also, have you ever been out to Big Bend...I'm planning a trip for me and my friends there next year and would like to talk to some peeps with experience in the area.
