From what I can read on other GM forums, it sounds like the GMLan system is "going to sleep" so to speak. One thing that worked for others with Impalas and a Silverado, is to disconnect the positive battery terminal. Then touch the positive wire to a ground spot in the engine bay (basically, be sure that there is no power to the electronics).

This will "reset" the GMLan system, and may be a simple fix for you.

Good luck.

I had the same problem. I took it to the dealership for a relearn of some sort. I think they charged me $150 for what took about 5-10 minutes :mad3:

i looked everywhere to find a fix,did u get new remotes and did u notice if there is some sort of star looking thing on the back.
as for the battery thing what does he mean turn everything off and touch it to something metal in the engine compartment :Plugged: :emotions122:

What was meant by that was to simply disconnect all power. Easiest way to do that is take the POSitive battery terminal right off the battery. There is no real reason to touch it to something metal if it is disconnected from the battery.

Im sure some electrical guru knows why touching the positive wire (now disconnected from the battery) to anything that is grounded, helps ensure that there is no power to truck.

I didn't buy new remotes. The dealer flashed it with a hand held device.

I’m no guru but, I think touching them together will discharge any capacitors that keep the computer from resetting.

Pretty much. It basically turns both the negative and positive end to negative. It literally sucks all the power out.
