I'm not sure that I'd go over 100# on the cross bars.

The most secure and safe way to tie down your cargo on the 2015+ OEM racks is to take your strap and loop under the cross member then go back over your cargo. Do the same on the other side then tighten down. If you're tying down on each side where the rail meets the cross member wind will cause play and possibly allow your cargo to move.
