I have looked at the 3.5 kit, the big reason I did not go that route yet is because the tires were brand new when I bought the 20s. I just wanted to get rid of the awful rake. But for $70 bucks it is not a big loss if I decide to upgrade. I am also 2WD.

I will probably step up to 275/60/20s when the time comes for tires if I do not get the 3.5.

I do not think the stock 20s will look too bad with the 3.5, I think there is at least one person on here with the stock wheels on a 3.5 or even 4" lift.

Rough Country 2" Kit 285's???

Can I actually run 285/70/R17 with the Rough Country 2" Leveling Kit?
Any issues with rubbing front? or rear?

Two of my buddies run 285s with the 2 inch rough country. One has a z71 and the other has a SLT Yukon. They both look amazing. One wrapped stock 20s in 285s and the other did XD hoss 17x9 and wrapped em with terra grapplers.

They have no rub.

I don't think the 3.5 is necessary for 285s, but it wouldn't hurt.

I'm a 2WD and I wanna just keep stock wheels and tired for now. That's the main reason I only did 2 inch level.

Hey swamp, How is your ride by the way?
Im still debating whether or not to go rough country route. It seems to be the cheapest kit, other than CCM or ready lift. So much to choose from, just don't know what is best.

Nice truck by the way OP :)

Ride is smooth. Just as good as ever if not better because I like the way it rides with the front a little higher.
