Everyone already posted the answers, it helps with cleaning internally. I don't put in all the time and I don't do it at the beginning of the oil change. I toss in the Dexron VI when I have ~ 500 miles left till its due to change. Run it for ~500 then change it out and run full syn.

Royal Purple

Have used Royal Purple in my 99 Tahoe since I bought it in o6/2007 it had 63,456 on it when I bought it. This morning with 104,988 I changed the oil for the 4th time. Also use it in my 08`Mercury 250 Pro XS.

99 hoe 279k previous owner always used mobile 1 and still runs like a ***** ape. and I always drop a quart of lucas oil additive in everything I have from boat, lawnmower, motorcyle, diesel truck, my wifes beetle and now the hoe!

Ive heard royal purple is junk, but everyone has their own opinion.

Im a big mobil one fan here, and will never use pennzoil

i work at advance a guy let his car sit for almost a year after he put royal purple in he had to pour oil in so the royal purple would drain it was thicker than lucas i dont think that is very beneficial
