My 03 tahoe has been having the rpm drop low to where it would almost die out and all the lights would dim too, I cleaned out almost everything possible. Had it all checked out still not solution . I was wondering if my battrey could be going out could that cause rpm drop ? I've had a pretty big system on it for almost a year. Battrey is a platinum die hard

Bad batteries can cause all kinds of stuff. Have it checked out. I'm guessing you cleaned your throttle body and mass airflow sensor?

Did you do a throttle relearn after cleaning your TB?

Here's how you do it:
- Get in the truck shut the doors buckle the seat belt.
- put the key in the ignition and turn it to the on position ( do not turn it over)
- press the pedal down as quick as possible and hold it to the floor
- turn the key to the off position
- wait a few seconds the. Release the pedal.

Yeah we did that too, it was fine for about a day or two then came back as if nothing changed

I'd say take the battery in to an autoparts store and have them test it to see if it's going bad or not!
Also, I assume the problem you are describing is when it's idling at a stop but how does it drive? Loss of power? Might wanna think fuel as being your problem as well, have you changed your fuel filter ever? Might also get your fuel pressure checked for good measure as well!

Also, you may consider checking the output of your charging system. Low or bad battery may steal power from the charging, also, but if it's not putting out enough energy, your engine will suffer. Aka, low idle, dim lights, etc.

Yeah I'm take it in tomorrow the car actually shut off today while backing into my drive way. This sucks haha but I unhooked the amps and it still started to die on me. I haven't replaced the fuel filter I think the dealership some how ran something through it

I'll check, I'm hook it up and see, it went so low my altanator had to be replaced and my additional battrey had to be replaced too from this problem.

Another thing that's weird is I'm KILLNG gas more than I use too. My mpg sucks now think that plays a part ?

When you say "pretty big system" what does that consist of? Also does it have a check engine light on at all or anything? Also does it consistently do this? Or only when cold? Only when hot?

1 hifonics brz2600 and a 1000.4 amp with a second battry all o gage but no big 3 upgrade. And yeah it does this only when warm when I first start the car it's idling fine till it warms up and driving and no check engine light
