Two separate issues here. 02 Yukon Denali...at idle when I turn my heater on the RPMs keep throbbing from 500 to 200rpms. I've noticed it at stop lights sometimes it feels like its going to die. When I start the vehicle right after I put it in drive it does it. At night when it happens my lights dim too. Anyone know what this could be? Also at night when going from drive to reverse the lights dim and then get brighter with throttle. Thanks in advance

His could but anything that is DBW doesnt have a servicable IAC. In fact a filthy throttle body or MAF and cause this same issue.

I would take the IAC out if you can (DBC trucks) and spray it off and clean it with carb cleaner and see if your problems goes away.

If it does not also pull off the throttle body and MAF.

Clean the maf with carb cleaner (carefully) and use the proper MAF/Electronics cleaner for the MAF. This should solve your problem.
