RSE Issues

Hey all, I have an 04 Tahoe I just got about 2 weeks ago. I have searched forum after forum for the issue I am having with my RSE. It has the stock Panasonic RSE (flip down DVD). I get video but no sound all I get is an odd crackle through the speakers. (Same through Headphones) The head unit is on RSE and says (DVD) above it. Still no sound I have checked fuses, pulled the unit down, pulled out center console, pulled out head unit, thinking, maybe loose connection somewhere, pulled the connections blew them out with air. No go still same result just the crackle. The radio/cd plays fine (no crackle). Onstar/XM not activated. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like bad audio output on the dvd player. Try hooking up a ps3 or audio source to the av jacks (the rca jacks in front of the screen) and see if you get audio from that. If yes then the dvd player is bad.

Rca jacks have the same issue. Still get the crackle/static. Hooked up 2 ipods through rca
