For those concerned about the 2021 RSE USB connection getting damaged because of its exposed location, you might check into magnetic USB-C adapters. I picked one up from Amazon for less than $20 and it seems to work well. It's been kicked a couple of times by one of my granddaughters and popped off easily with no damage to the vehicle connector. I'm using it with a -C to -A adapter and a mini flash drive to eliminate any cords altogether. If you try this just be sure to get one that's made to support data transfer and not just charging. The charging ones have fewer pins inside the magnetic part. This is what it looks like in the vehicle, the adapter, and what the pieces look like when separated. (My first post with pics, hope this works.)
