Hey all, I've been having this problem ever since i bought my 00 tahoe NBS. When i turn on the AC it blows hot and makes a thudding / rubbing noise. The same thing happens with my heater unless i put the air direction to the windeheild. My heater doesn't blow cold and i can sometimes smell coolant but i don't see any coolant dripping on to my carpet. My back vents have cool AC but my front ones dont. Does anyone know what the problem could be? I was thinking it might be my climate control module but i didnt know for sure.

Sorry if this post is all over the place.

Sounds like a Blower fan bearing or Diverter door issue.
Check for leaks at fittings on/by firewall for coolant.

The coolant smell could be inside the heater box, where the blower resides, and maybe-just maybe, coolant has gotten in to the blower causing noises. There may also be consequential damages to blend door(s). When a/c is on, look at the a/c clutch area and see if noise is there and condition of the a/c clutch.

I dont think the blend doors are damaged cause i can tell which vents the air is blowing out of, i´ll for sure check my blower motor and if i remember to I'll probably post the noise here
