After trying to use the multicolor LEDs, found out the wires were way too short and decided it'd be easier to just go with blue. I wired them to the indoor floor lights so they come on when you open the door, they look pretty good and I'm definitely happy with themImageUploadedByTapatalk1400471927.250200.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1400471945.841571.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1400471951.536563.jpg

No, they don't fade, just turn off when the courtesy lights turn off.

Here are some closer pics and some with the lights off

Thought I'd show how they're wired. I just ran the wires up the door and tapped into the power and neutral wires to the foot lights, same set up on both sides

Definitely should clean that wiring up. You could drill a small hole in the bottom of the door and use the factory wire loom or at least under the door seals. Lights look good on. I want to do this in white as well @XL04 most strips use 3M adhesive backing.

Just wired them quickly, I wasn't confident enough In the project to drill a hole.

The strips have 3m adhesive backing. I also used electrical tape periodically along the strip, but I doubt that helped at all.
