Running Boards

Does anybody else have an issue with there factory running boards rattling? Mine drive me crazy when I am stopped at a stop light, sounds like the bottom of the truck is going to fall off. And it gets worse when the A/C is on.

yeah check that, the vibration is the plastic cover vibrating against the base.

OR if thats not it, check the pass side board where the AC lines run for the rear AC, since you say its worse with AC on...the AC lines dont have much movement there and they could be vibrating against the bracket...depends on if its a plastic on metal type of rattle or a metallic rattle from the metal AC lines on a metal bracket.

i had the same problem. but when i was changing my oil i was looking at my exhaust & found that the clamp in front of the muffler was shot. you could take the pipe & slide it in & out. replaced it and it was gone. now just got to get rid of the brake clatter n im set. I hope this helps!

i hear rattle when i hit bumps. its the plastic part cause all the bracket bolts are tight

that would be your brakes. try going over the same bumps but press lightly on the pedal n i bet it goes away.

I will check this when i get home from the lake today.
