Rust

I had a bad rotor that I didn't change fast enough during the winter. The result was a thick coat of rust on my rim, tire and down the side of my 01 Tahoe. Any tips on how to remove the rust from the paint?

#000 steel wool will remove the rust from the paint. but it might **** with the clear coat abit. so polish it after to protect the paint. i used the steel wool for suface rust on my rims then sprayed abit of clear coat to protect it.

You could also try rubbing compound.

I'd use a clay bar. Like Mother's clay bar package etc.

Claying iron particles is not a great idea

Dissolve it with iron x then clay the rest
