is there a write up on repairing a rusted brake line? I have a 1/4" hole in my brake line where the rust ate through it. It's on the line a few inches infront of the fuel filter at the housing that holds the line.
If not is there a quick fix that can hold the fluid temporarily?

You can cut it, flare the ends and put a coupler in the middle BUT I see you are in a salt belt state, time to redo all of them. Yes all.

No quick fixes,Replace
Check all lines, cuz most likely this is just the first ,and more lines will blow.
Be sure your e brake works in case they do, before U get them replaced
Put penetrating oil on fittings.
Measure the exact length of line U need including all bends,go to parts store, get one or more lines ,to come as close to that length as U can, bend it where it needs to go, reinstall all clips, bleed brakes.

AGREE 110% of the above. Jack you truck up and measure how much you need. It is always better to order more then needed b/c brake line is in exspensive. Advanced Auto Parts has a loaner tool program so get the tools necessary from them. Sometimes when I do lines I just bend by hand. JUst take your time and do it nice and slow. Check out you tube for tutorials on how to flare and double flare lines.

Take a deep breathe you are going to be ok and We will see this out to the end.

YOU CAN NOT PUT A PRICE ON SAFETY...in the end if you have too take it to a professional. This is something that should not be put off, it will only get worse.

If you feel like coming to NY PM me.
