WAY better than VHT nite shade!!!
I will never use VHT again I used it once on my front turn signals and took it off almost instantly
everyone that uses it gets a dull finish even if they use clear coat and wet sand
but Rustoleum comes out so glossy and has the same tint effect as nite shade.. straight out of the can

I wetsanded the stock turn signal just to get it smooth then shot on the lens tint and this is how it came out

and back when I had my tail lights done with the lens tint

What clear coat did you use?

NONE! :O my technique worked for my yukon, my friends 2010 Tacoma and my other friends 1996 s10.

-sand down with a medium grit sand paper so its full of surface scratches. wipe down with water and soap and rubbing alcohol. (let it COMPLETLY DRY!)

-start off with a thin coat of Rust Oleum Lens Tint wait about 2-3 minutes after doing light coat

- then for a glossy soft smooth finish hit it with a heavy dark coat and let it sit for about 45 mins-1hour

them come out PERFECT! need pictures (close up) of mine?

Just make sure whatever clear coat you get has UV protection in it (you would think they all do, but they don't). That is one of the main reasons that you hear/see people with their tails (or other tinted parts) getting dull.
