RWD to AWD Conversion???

I would definitely say it’s possible.. but you’d get the best answers by putting them both on a lift and getting a really good look. I can confirm that you’ll have to change hubs. I’ve installed 2wd on a awd body with no issues. The 2wd ones are sealed the awd ones have holes to accommodate the axles. I’d check for spindle clearance on the back side.


idk what your goals for awd are. But I can absolutely tell you I had a 96 c1500 (2wd Silverado). Used tire chains in about 8 inches of snow. And my mind was blown. I’ve never had so much traction in the snow….. much cheaper option. But I’m not trying to steer you away from your dreams lol
