They put mismatched wheels on it and drove it to a dump location

Very common. Your truck got nabbed, they ran it to a strip shop where they could rummage through it and yank the stereo out with relative privacy and minimal damage (to the stereo equipment, that is), then they swapped the wheels off of it and dumped it. The whole process probably took 15 minutes of actual work plus drive time.

Pros hit my car about 6 years ago, parked in a mall parking lot. In and out in about 5 minutes. Stereo, sub, amp, and a thorough ransack job in 5 minutes. I was only away from my car for about ten minutes total.

I'm sorry man. I'll never understand people who make their livelyhood off of taking other people's hard-earned stuff. :emotions122:

I don't understand either why people do these kind of things.. It sucks cuz we spend our hard earned money and all the time we put into them then Bam someone does something like this.

I am going to make damn sure this NEVER happens again.

I may get a broken window and I may have a screwed up column but the truck will not move from that spot ever again.

I know the majority of insurance companies won't cover the majority of the items you listed as stolen UNLESS you specifically listed them on your policy. This said, the wheels, aftermarket stereo, aftermarket lighting etc would only give you replacement value of OEM equipment.

No way this could be a total unless there's underlying damage elsewhere that you're unaware of.

Maybe I missed it but was it taken from ur house?! Suxs to hear. I just put a new viper 5901 alarm on. Damn alarm worked from inside the movie theater last time I went. So much for checking out the new N and Out Burger.

Also personal items are covered under home owners/rental insurance. Been there and done that. Hopefully it works out for you.
