Got home from the gym last night and my Scangauge2 and SGE had been delivered. After eating supper I went out and hooked them up. Installation and setup were super simple, took all of about 10 minutes to set them both up.

Then I had to take the Hoe for a test drive. Hands down, I love these things. I haven't even scratched the surface of their full capabilities but what I've seen already has made me feel like I got my monies worth.

The mpg function of the SGE is capable of calibration/bias to more closely match hand figured numbers but its pretty close to what I have been hand figuring all ready.

The SG2 is really cool, so far I've monitored HP, engine coolant temp, air intake temp, battery voltage, RPM, MPH and I'm just getting started.

I'll update again after I've explored some of the more interesting options.

unknown at this time.
like any trip computer rpm, vacuum, speed and calculated knowledge inside the pcm. basically a lot of math. not really a wiring schematics:)

Sun, I'm kinda curious, do you know which parameters it uses to determine mpg? Figured you might have seen a schematic on it.

Mainly the MAF. If it knows how much air is flowing in the engine, it can calculate how much fuel is being used at ~14.7 to 1 plus factoring in all the other sensors.

I have the ultragauge and I loooooove the display. Does the same thing as scangauge but IMHO it looks way better.

I considered alot of locations for the ScanGauge pair and decided to use the the window mount suction cup for now. Works good for me, at least for now.

Sun, I couldn't put them in the dash above the tach. I can't see them in that position due to the steering wheel in the way.

Here's a short run I did this afternoon after filling up. The cruise was set at about 61 mph. I was trying to lock it in at 2000rpm. The first one is easier to read and the the better average. The second one is the better instantaneous mpg. Bear in mind that I took these with my blackberry camera while driving. Sorry for the poor quality.
