My 98 Tahoe has terrible lights and yellow lenses.
I have to get some better night vision for the sake of safety.
I also do not want to waist money so I think I want glass lenses
and HID low beams with HIR high beams if I understand my searched
threads correctly. some have also stated that the low HID lights will be
plenty of light and never need to go on high beam. But where can I get
this and am I even thinking correctly. I would like to go clear on all of the
front light lenses I think too. This is all over my head and I greatly
appreciate your knowledge on this question.

If you are set on that route I can't really help you. I do know that projectors seem to give a really good light picture.
If you are looking for something that is slightly cheaper I can offer this.
Mothers MAG and aluminium polish with a white cotton cloth will take the yellow off. They also have headlight polish that is made for this. After you do that some silver star bulbs in your low and high beams are about the best stock light output you can get in my opinion.
Just wanted to offer a different option for you.

Glass headlights are pretty hard to come by now a days so you will have trouble finding them. I would recommend getting the TYC headlights with the HID kit already installed but it seems like the seller on ebay is out of them.

Go with TYC headlights along with TYC parking lights. Can get them at http://www.stylintrucks.com

Then add a HID kit yourself. Check out ebay seller, "hidgate" on ebay. Seeing as you want lots of light output go with a 5000K bulb.

Then get some HIR highs and do the 4Hi-mod.

Headlight Information GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks for the input guys. Keep em coming.
I hope to find glass like hak stated. I have seen the projection
units and think I want the HID kits as well. I may not do anything
to the high beam and just not use them as I read on another thread.
I will post pics as soon as I get the glass ones installed.
Any other links will be checked out too.

I polished the lights on my 99, although better, they still sucked. There was crap inside the lens housing, yellowy stuff, the chrome reflectors weren't that good, etc.

I bought some aftermarket lens housing which came with a 3 year no condensation, no fog guarantee and added some Sylvania Silverstar bulbs. The difference between the polished stockers and these is like a candle vs. spotlight.

Chevrolet Tahoe Headlights PAIR
Make: Chevrolet / Model: Tahoe/ Year: 1998
Price: $64.90
Item: 1ALHP00002

They also come with new regular halogen bulbs, no immediate need for a better bulb unless your driving conditions dictate otherwise.
