I found a deal for the Denali..... Scored a "drop in" factory replacement K&N filter this weekend off Craig's List for $20.00. Guy claimed he had it in his 2005 Diesel and had only put about 15K on it.

I figured since I already had one in the Tahoe and the "recharger kit" I may as well, since I like to recharge them more frequently than advised @ 50K.

I know it's not a CAI, but I thought it's better than restrictive factory/fram's @ $13-15 a pop. Since I like to service them at every other oil change.

Just thought I'd share my good fortune!

HOW OFTER DOES EVERYONE ELSE CLEAN & RECHARGE THEIR FILTERS???

For street use, almost never. They just don't get dirty enough to lose much flow over a perfectly clean one. That's why they say 50K miles. In fact, it's not a good idea to clean them too often because the gauze between the screen mesh is pretty delicate.
