I am brand new to the forum and recently purchased a 2009 Yukon XL at an auction. I used the search function but could not find anyone else with this problem and would appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction. The Yukon XL I purchased used to belong to a fire department and only had front row seats. In the second row there are four mounting bolts where the seats would normally go.

I have seats from a 2009 Yukon XL Denali but the bottoms of the middle row seats do not match up with mounting brackets.

You can see in the photograph below that in the third row there are no bolts, only spacers/coverings where there would normally be mounting hardware.

Does anyone have any experience with this? I went to the dealership this afternoon and they pretty much acted like I couldn't put seats in. I can see that there are brackets and mounting spaces. The person at the dealership also said you can't put bucket seats into a Yukon that originally had bench seats, from the reading I have done on this forum he is incorrect. Both vehicles are 2009 Yukon XL's but the donor vehicle was a Denali.

First, welcome to the Forum from NH.

Lots of knowledgeable folks here who freely share their knowledge, experiences, and perspectives. Knowledge is power.

I hope that you will become a participating member in the Forum's discussions.

Yeah, the search feature here is pretty much useless.

As @2010gmcyukon stated, you are missing some mounting/frame hardware that secures the seats to the floor. My 07 Yukon XL Denali has captains chairs in the second row, and I have uploaded some photos below that show this mounting/frame hardware for the second row captains chairs. Please excuse all of the dog hair accumulated by my two 90+ lb. white shepherds, who go with me, whenever I leave the property.

My recommendation is that you go to a salvage yard and obtain the frames and carpeted aesthetic covers (one for each captains chair) from another vehicle.

Other folks will chime in, as well.

Welcome to the forum from Iowa.

As already stated, you did not get the full seat/frame assembly.
