My front driver seat keeps losing its position memory. Sometimes when switching between driver 1 and driver 2 the seat will move all the way forward as if that's the position that was stored in the memory. Has anyone else had any problems similar to this? Any ideas on what might be happening? Thanks in advance.

BTW its a 2003 Chevy Tahoe Z71 5.3L V8

Are you using the factory FOB's? As soon as I switched from them to my new alarm/auto start it lost the memory function because it uses the FOB to ID the driver.

Kind of annoying, actually. I can manually press 1 or 2 on the door, but even then it doesn't always remember settings.

Mine has never remembered the settings for more than a few hours so I just stopped using it a few months after buying the truck.

yeh this plagues most of us, just turn off the feature and then it will stay where you put it last regardless of whether you use the fobs or not

No, I'm actually using factory FOB. Interesting, but it's good to know I'm not alone. Thanks for the replies.

I read somewhere the dealership can "flash" or "update" the memory for this unit. Currently, the button for moving the seat forward and backward is working in opposite. Also, the memory is not working and my drivers side mirror has to be corrected every time I drive. So, one of these days I'll take her in to get "flashed" or whatever the need to do to it.

It is strange my seat forgets its settings but the mirrors always work, I have the backup assist on my passanger side mirror to help backing into the garage.
