Second row climate control / radio display super dim

Anyone have this issue - my display in the second row is super dim - making it basically impossible to see the settings. It doesn't seem to get any better no matter how bright the internal light setting is.

I have a 08 Yukon XL, any suggestions on how to fix would be much appreciated.

Did you ever fixed th eproblem

I just got a used Suburban and the display is not lit, the controls work fine.
Please let me know what was your fix.
