My SECURITY Light stays on when driving and blinks when the car is off. I have no issues with starting or entering the car. I have a 3rd party remote start/entry system but that also works fine. How can i reset or turn off the light? Is there an issue that needs attention. it seems the light came on after my Service Engine Soon Light came on due to either bad gas or too much water after a bad rain storm & high water. The code was a bad Knock Sensor but the Service Engine Soon light finally went off after a couple tanks of gas... Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I can not beleive i am the only person with this issue.....dam should a bought a Ford as I am sure I would have had an answer or some advice by now on one of their forums LOL

Your not the only one, I've read and read. Mines on constant and the hoe won't even turn over. I start mine by grounding out the relay with a wire I hold while turning the key. As far as I've been able to understand you have to hook up pcm to program and unheck that function. Do it yourself programmer is like 500$ . Haven't found our who to send into or how much it cost. There was a member that had his done, I'll try to find his post.

i have a similar problem. I to have an aftermarket alarm/remote start. But my security light doesnt always come on. The blinking is normal i believe. just showing that the system is operating, to help warn potential theives? My light may or may not come on, its intermittent. But strange enough, my alarm has a "Pit Stop" feature which allows me to hit the valet button on the antenna and take the key out of the ignition and it will keep the engine running. If the light is on when i use this feature, it will go off.
No problems with starting or operating vehicle so i havent had a choice but to live with it. wish i could fix it though.
I believe you need a tech II to read the codes for the security light. (if even possible).
My tahoe is an 03 and i have an Omega Excalibur EDPB-1830 alarm.
