So I have just installed some amps under the rear bench. As an added level of security to prevent some ******* from stealing my stuff, I thought why not make it harder to lift up the rear bench. If I can keep the rear bench from lifting up, then it might help keep my stuff out of their hands.

Has anybody done anything like this? It cant be too hard to do, but I thought I would just ask here and see if anyone else has done the same thing ??

Thanks!

Nobody has done anything like this??

I am thinking that maybe some kind of extra lock or latch to secure the folding bench in place so it cant be lifted up and expose the amps. If its locked in place, then it adds a major level of security and ******* thieves cant steal my stuff...

Just drill a hole through the pivots and put a lock or bolt and locking nut through them both. Seat wont go anywhere without the seats being able to pivot forward and get unlatched from the bed area mounts.

Or just park it in a fenced in area with 5 German Shepherds (be sure to give them the taste of blood).

Shit, all you gotta do is unhook that cable and it won't fold down. I've had my cable jam up and it was pure HELL trying to get my seat to fold down. I ended up having to reach under the seat and pull it with a pair of pliers.
